The owner of X, Elon Musk, has mocked Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta after a technical error.

On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, Facebook and Instagram had an outage.

Many users had a problem logging into the platform after they were automatically logged out.

According to Downdetector, error reports went up at about 10:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, March 5. As of around 11 a.m., the monitoring service had received more than 500,000 error reports.

Instagram users on the other hand reported that their feed was not refreshing and they were unable to post anything to the platform.

The problem lasted for about two hours.

Amid the outage, Elon cryptically mocked Meta in a post on his platform.

He wrote on X: “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working.”

Elon Musk further shared a tweet by Meta’s spokesman Andy Stone, to mock the company again.

There have been rivalry between Elon and Mark Zuckerberg after the former acquired Twitter in October 2024.
