Popular Ghanaian musician, Kofi Kinaata, has revealed why he chose music over football.

He talked about his decision to put football on hold and pursue a music career in a recent interview.

Kinaata disclosed that he struggled to get money to buy a pair of boots.

However, he does not see it as a requirement for someone to purchase expensive equipment before starting a music career.

“Money for boots was the main problem…but with music, you don’t need to buy a microphone before you can sing. You just sing then you pass it on to the owner,” he said on Citi TV’s “The Chat”.

Kofi Kinaata is gearing up to release his ‘Kofi OO Kofi’ EP on May 3, 2024. One of the songs on the EP, ‘Efiekuma Broken Heart’ was dropped a few days ago.

“I’m here because of the fans and the fans are the ones pestering me to release an EP or album.

Since it’s a team now and they’re on my neck to release something, I decided to release it for them to stream,” the Ghanaian musician stated.
