The organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), have announced the changes they have made in the nominations.
A few days ago, nominees for the 25th Telecel Music Awards were unveiled at an event.
In the earlier nominations, the remix ‘Kwaku Ananse’ by Amerado was nominated in the Best Highlife Song of the Year category of the award scheme.
This compelled Amerado to question why the original song did not earn a nomination in the TGMA 2024.
After his complaint, the Board of TGMA has made changes.
They revealed in a statement that the original ‘Kwaku Ananse’ song has replaced the remix in the nominations.
It has now been nominated in the Best Highlife Song and Most Popular Song of the Year categories.
Another correction made by the TGMA Board was O’Kenneth and Xlim Kid’s ‘Lonely’ song being tagged as a joint project instead of a feature.
The Board further reiterated its commitment to fairness.
