Famous American singer and songwriter, Stevie Wonder, has officially become a citizen of Ghana.
The 74-year-old singer became a Ghanaian citizen officially after taking the oath of allegiance at the Jubilee House on May 13, 2024.
He vowed to respect and protect the constitution of Ghana while holding a Bible.
The ‘I Just Called To Say I Love’ singer was given a certificate of citizenship and a Ghanaian passport by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He was also congratulated by the President after he took the oath of allegiance.
In a video shared online, Stevie Wonder was seen beaming with smiles.
He completed the procedure of becoming a Ghanaian citizen three years after revealing his intentions to move to Ghana.
The day coincided with his 74th birthday.
