Veteran Ghanaian Highlife musician, George Darko, has passed on.
He reportedly died on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
The late musician, who is credited as the pioneer of Burger Highlife, died after being sick for some time.
His sad demise was announced by Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.
“News reaching us indicates that Nana Ampem Darko, popularly known as George Darko, has passed on,” Andy, the host of DayBreak Hitz sadly announced on his program.
He passed on at the age of 73.
