Bernardo Silva has helped Manchester City to book a spot in the FA Cup final after defeating Chelsea.
Silva scored the only goal in the match which took place at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
Bernardo Silva found the net in the 84th minute following a cross from Kevin de Bruyne.
This was after Chelsea’s striker, Nicolas Jackson, missed some glaring chances—and that caused his team.
Chelsea were unhappy after the video assistant referee did not rule in their favour for a penalty in the second half after Cole Palmer’s free-kick hit the hand of Jack Grealish in the wall.
City had 14 shots, 3 on target and 63 per cent of ball possession while Chelsea recorded 10 shots, 5 on target and 37 per cent of ball possession.
On passes, City had 583 against Chelsea’s 352.
Manchester City will lock horns with either Manchester United or Coventry City in the final.
The final of the FA Cup will come off on May 25, 2024.
Manchester City’s victory comes after they lost to Real Madrid 3-4 on penalties in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League.
