Popular American singer, Taylor Swift, has donated to the family of Kansas City radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan.

DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan was a victim in the Kansas City shooting. She died after being shot at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Victory Parade on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

Following the sad incident, Swift donated $100,000 to her family through GoFundMe.

The ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ singer made her donation in separate $50,000 instalments.

After her donation, she sent her condolence by writing: “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”

On Wednesday, chaos as gunfire erupted in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, a few moments after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl Victory Parade ended. The team had been celebrating their second consecutive Super Bowl victory, after they defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves gave an update about the devastating incident on Thursday.

According to him, a total of 23 people were shot near Union Station and one person died. The person who passed on was identified as Lopez-Galvan — a mother of two, diehard Chiefs fan and popular DJ and radio host at KKFI’s 90.1 FM. She was 43.

“We are still learning about her, but know that she is beloved by many,” Graves said at a news conference. “To her family and friends, we are with you and we are working tirelessly to investigate her murder.”
