Livingstone Etse Satekla, a Ghanaian musician popularly known as Stonebwoy, has responded to claims that he caused the cancellation of Shatta Wale’s performance at the University of Ghana.
Ahead of Shatta Wale’s performance at the Reunion Rave Artiste Night at James Top Nelson Yankah Hall (TF Hostel), University of Ghana, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, it was announced that the his performance had been cancelled.
However, Stonebwoy, also having an event at Liman Hall of the University of Ghana, had the go-ahead to perform.
The camp of Shatta Wale alleged that Stonebwoy was the brain behind the cancellation of his performance.
Even after Wave Africa, the organizers of the event at TF Hostel, released a statement and confirmed that the cancellation was made following an order by the Dean of Students’ office, fans of Wale were in doubt.
Stonebwoy denied the accusation when speaking in an interview on Asaase Radio.
He stated that he was surprised and that the accusation was ridiculous.
The ‘Tuff Seed’ composer said he had nothing to do with what happened, adding that he would be having super powers to do that.
